The Assignment office is responsible for scheduling trials and miscellaneous hearings for the seventeen judges of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas - General Division. This office consists of three Assistant Assignment Commissioners who in addition to scheduling provide a rich source of information to the legal community and general public.

Each Assistant Assignment Commissioner is primarily responsible for the docketing, scheduling, and record keeping for six (6) judges. Cases are set for trial according to the rules of the Court and the Rules of Superintendence of the Ohio Supreme Court. Assignment Commissioners also maintain the current status of each pending criminal case for each Judge.
