On July 1, 2019 the Supreme Court of Ohio amended Civil Rule 6(C), setting uniform deadlines for motion practice in all 88 counties statewide. Civ. R. 6(C) establishes a 28-day deadline for service of responses to motions for summary judgment, and a 14-day response deadline for all other motions. Reply memoranda are due within 7 days after service of the responses. For many years responses to summary judgment motions in this court were due in 14 days just as with all other motions. That deadline is superseded by new Civ. R. 6(C). This court is in the process of formally amending Loc. R. 21. In the meantime, counsel may rely upon Civ. R. 6(C).
