Foreclosure Mediation

The Franklin County Foreclosure Mediation Program is a collaborative of county courts and agencies to include: Franklin County Common Pleas Court – General Division; the Franklin County Municipal Court; and, the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office that have designed a program to assist Franklin County residents struggling to save their home from foreclosure. The program offers mediation services within the Franklin County court systems.

This program is available to homeowners who have received summons in foreclosure cases filed in Common Pleas Court. The purpose of mediation is to encourage homeowners and lenders to come to the table and work out options for payment in order to avoid expensive litigation proceedings and prevent the homeowner from losing their home to foreclosure.
