Status Conferences
Judge Sheward is available at the parties’ request. He appreciates 24 hour notice and courtesy copies of any pertinent filings, but if the situation requires, he will see the parties immediately. |
Pre-Trials
Pre-Trial memos are primarily intended to give Judge Sheward a quick overview of the case and alert him to the potential objections or issues that may arise. |
Trials
Judge Sheward does not conduct the voir dire. However, he keeps it moving along and does not permit attorneys to try their cases before the jury is selected. Voir dire is not on the record, unless counsel requests a record.
