Judge Elizabeth Gill

Judge Elizabeth M. Gill Prior to her election in 2006, Judge Elizabeth Gill had eighteen years of litigation experience. Her practice was limited exclusively to family law matters. She also served as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem in family court proceedings.

Judge Gill was appointed to the Commission on the Rules of Practice & Procedures by the Supreme Court of Ohio to serve for three years. She is a member of the Franklin County Democratic Lawyers Club, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association , and the Ohio Association of Domestic and Juvenile Judges, serving as a member of the Executive Committee for District 4 of the Ohio Association of Juvenile Court Judges. Judge Gill also serves as a member of the Franklin County Juvenile Court Advisory Committee , was co-sponsor for Permanency Values Training along with the Casey Family Programs and Franklin County Children's Services and is the lead judge for the steering committee of the Data Initiative for Franklin County Juvenile and Domestic Courts, helping implement a workable data system for the courts.

She participated as a mentor for Big Brothers & Big Sisters program through Columbus City Schools, has served two terms as a past board member for Alvis House and volunteered with the Dominican Learning Center (DLC) helping improve literacy for area adults.
