The Judges' Assignment Office schedules all cases before the five Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court judges as well as maintains docket schedules for all visiting judges. Cases scheduled for hearings before judges include: dissolution of marriage; uncontested divorces; pretrial and contested divorces; domestic violence petitions for civil protection orders; objections and motions to set aside magistrates' orders; post-decree domestic relations motions and juvenile matters requiring a hearing before a judge. The CSEA Liaison schedules objections from CSEA administrative orders through the Assignment Office.

As part of the case management responsibilities, the Assignment Commissioner monitors the status of Juvenile and Domestic Relations cases to ensure they are proceeding through the system according to time lines mandated by the Ohio Supreme Court and the Ohio Revised Code.
