Juvenile Restitution/Youth in Community Service and the Work Alternative Program received over 1200 referrals during the year 2000. The Juvenile Restitution Program assisted clients making straight restitution payments to the assigned victims on their case. Over $52,000 was paid to 237 victims during the calendar year of 2000.

The Work Alternative Program had an 83% completion rate working with such sites as Animal Fair, Habitat of Humanity, Lutheran Social Services, Monterey Car Center and the Whitehall Community Church.

The Youth in Community Service Coordinator now works with over 300 community service sites and completed over 25,000 hours of community service by 763 youth.
